How It All Began
Palomar Motors was built in August 1957 in beautiful Escondido, California. Selling Pontiac’s and Cadillac’s. In 1970 Gladys and Bill Young, bought the dealership and started their dream of owning the most successful dealership in town. Located in the heart of Escondido, their dream proved reality. When Escondido started to grow, Mrs. and Mr. Young started talking with other dealerships about starting an Auto Park in Escondido.

Ten Years after they started their dream, Mr. Young passed away and his wife Gladys ran the dealership by herself. Mrs. Young knew what the dealership meant and was going to continue the legacy her and her husband had built. In 1981 Mrs. Young purchased the land to build the new dealership in the not yet built Escondido Auto Park. She moved the dealership to its present location and changed the name to Young Pontiac Cadillac. In 2003 the Buick Franchise was added and we are now known as Young Buick Pontiac Cadillac. Mrs. Young built this dealership into more than anyone could have ever thought. It was through her hard work and ingenious business decisions that this dealership is where it is today. It is now her legacy that we are living out today.

Mrs. Young is still found in her office everyday providing us with a strong leader. You can come by anytime and stop by her office to say Hi. Scott Young, Gladys’ son has been working in the dealership since 1972 in various positions. In 2003 he took over as the General Manager. You will even find Scott Jr. and Jason Young, Mrs. Young’s Grandsons, working as Lot Attendants and as technicians. This family believes in learning from the ground up.

At the beginning of the twenty first century, Mrs. Young is leading the Young Buick Pontiac Cadillac dealership into what will be its greatest period of opportunity to exceed the expectations of our customers.
